you ready to get flavor WHOOPED???

Jenny's Kick-ass Tofu

Preparation Time: 15 mins

Cook Time: 5-7 minutes

Total Time: 20-25 minutes

Ingredients:

1 package of firm or extra firm tofu (16 oz)

1/3 cup of gluten free Soy Sauce

¼ cup of your favorite hot sauce (I like Cholula’s and Frank’s Red Hot)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp yellow curry powder *optional

1 tsp of oil (I like sesame oil, but olive or canola works too)

Directions:

  1. Remove tofu from the packaging. Chop into small squares and dry in a dish towel for 10 minutes under a weight, like a pan.

  2. While the tofu is drying, combine all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.

  3. Add the tofu to the sauce mix and let sit for five minutes.

  4. Heat 1 tsp oil in a skillet over high heat. Reduce heat to medium and add tofu, making sure the extra sauce remains in the bowl. (We’ll use it later!) The tofu should sizzle when you add it to the oil. Cover the tofu with a weight, like a second pan. Cook for three to five minutes. (Don’t let them burn!) Remove the weight, flip the tofu, and add the remaining sauce mixture. Cook again until the sauce coats the rest of the tofu and evaporates off.

  5. Enjoy!

Sup Guysss

Everyone who has ever tried this tofu ever is like DAMNNN THIS IS SO GOOD.

Drying the tofu before-hand is the MOST IMPORTANT STEP!!!

It is what allows the tofu to get really crispy when you fry it.

Without further ado,
